Launched in 1996 to succeed the Mitsubishi Fuso The Great. Most big-size models of the truck are distinguishable using a front 'Super Great' badge, but the common badge is usually used on the rear. The Super Great had driver's airbag and wheel parking brake equipped in 2000. Mitsubishi Fuso Meluncurkan Truk Heavy-duty Super Great Model 2019, HDT Pertama di Jepang yang Dilengkapi Teknologi Pendukung Kemudi Otomatis Level 229 Oktober 2019Kawasaki, Jepang – Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC), salah satu produsen kendaraan niaga terbesar di Asia, di bawah naungan Daimler Truck Asia, meluncurkan Super Great model tahun 2019 pada 23 Oktober 2019. Super Great terbaru ini merupakan HDT pertama di Jepang yang dilengkapi dengan teknologi pendukung kemudi otomatis level 2, setara dengan teknologi pendukung kemudi otomatis dari the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). Sistem pendukung kemudi otomatis level 2 dapat mengontrol akselerasi, rem, dan kemudi secara bersamaan. Super Great model 2019 juga dilengkapi dengan sistem keselamatan berkendara tingkat tinggi. Super Great mengikuti jejak Mercedes-Benz Actros dan Freightliner Cascadia, menjadi HDT ketiga yang memiliki fungsi teknologi pendukung kemudi otomatis level 2.

The new Super Great features the market-first* Emergency Stop Assist, which decelerates and stops the vehicle within its lane in case of an emergency. With Emergency Stop Assist, the Active Drive Assist automated driving support system is now upgraded to Active Drive Assist 2. Active Driver Assist 2 and its emergency stop function will be also available in Daimler Trucks’ heavy-duty Mercedes-Benz Actros from June 2021. MFTBC operates under the umbrella of Daimler Trucks Asia, together with its partner organization Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) in India.
